What made this run special

Specs from the 2011-12-24 official capture; the 2007 Frontline description ("maple fingerboard") pins the transition to the 2007 relaunch. MSRP rose over the run: $399.99 by 2010-2013 (msrp shown is this run's documented price). Absent from the 2014 pricelist: run and model closed at 2013. Factory not yet established from sources.

What changed

The 2007 VM-series relaunch reworked the instrument: maple board (was rosewood), 22 frets (was 21), and a Strat-style hardtail replacing the 6-saddle Tele bridge.
