Squier's FIRST Jazzmaster (NAMM 2011) — launched as plain "Vintage Modified Jazzmaster": a modernized take with alder body, maple fingerboard, 3-way toggle, concentric '62-Jazz-Bass-style controls and a fixed top-loader bridge instead of the traditional circuits and vibrato. Renamed "Jazzmaster Special" when the faithful VM Jazzmaster arrived mid-2012; dropped after 2013.
